- 56 niches, each holding up to two urns;
- Perpetual maintenance;
- Easy access on the east side of Timmons Chapel.
What is a columbarium?
A columbarium is a wall of niches constructed to house urns that contain the cremated ashes of decedents. Several universities, such as the lJniversity of Notre Dame, Duke University, and the University of Southern California, have built columbaria to serve as on-campus final resting places for faculty, staff, alumni and friends.
